Thanks To Their Generous Scholarships, More International Students Are Trooping Into The Country.

According to a BBC news update, Germany has recorded an increase in the number of international students present in the country. Based on the report, the country has recorded a 20% increase in the population of US students in the country. If Germany can draw out such a huge figure of students from arguably one of the best economies in the world, imagine how many it draws from third world countries.

How Does Germany Achieve This Feat?

It is very simple, Scholarships! More scholarships, More students. There are several scholarship opportunities available to almost everyone in the world regardless of where you hail from in Germany. You can find fully funded government scholarships and non – government funded too in Germany. But there are more government funded scholarships available in the country. In fact, the government has a special body dedicated to awarding scholarships to international students. The name of the organization is DAAD.

Every year, the German Academic Exchange awards over 100,000 scholarships to both native and international making it one of the highest scholarship awarding organizations in the world. These scholarships mainly go to graduates, doctoral students and postdoctoral students. However, they also award a number of awards to undergraduates.

DAAD Fully-Funded Scholarships is a post we made about a year ago covering the top scholarships offered by the organization. They are annual scholarships, so at the time you visit one, it may have already passed its application deadline which means u will have to wait till the next session or you check out another one.

This and other factors are steadily making Germany a global destination for education.
